The Summer of a Lifetime

Wow its mid-August already the summer has gone by way toooo fast! I heard that the county schools start back next week, which although I am not going to school anymore it makes me realize summer is almost over :(
So much has happened this summer, from moving out to my own apartment, finding the most beautiful wedding dress, planning a wedding, graduating, watching someone I love very much go through a lot of pain and still is, lots of wedding talk not just by me... wow I could keep going.
This month Craig and I will celebrate our one year since we were officially going out. And we celebrated our negative 9 months until the wedding. I am so excited about the wedding. At this point I would love to forget about all of the planning and just get to the aisle to wear my dress and become Mrs Pitts. Craig has been so patient with my planning I know I talk ALOT about it, I just want it to be perfect!
Last weekend we got to celebrate Tim and Brandi's Bridal Shower...80s style! It was a blast! Than we got to sing karaoke in our outfits! We had such a great time and I have found that I love singing karaoke! Brandi was such a great partner! Brandi and Tim get married next month and I am so excited to go see them get married, they are just adorable together and when you are around them you can just see how much they love each other. I know their wedding is going to absolutely beautiful!
I am still looking for a job! Luckily I have Beefs to fall back on but I am hoping that something better comes fast!
This Saturday we get to celebrate Craig's grandparents 50th Anniversary, WOW! I love getting to see his family and they love having celebrations. Celebrating 50 years is amazing and his grandparents are still so much in love.
So I know a bunch of random comments from my life, I know I have neglected my blog but life gets so busy sometimes and I am loving every moment of it!

New JOB!

So its been awhile since I last posted but I felt today was a great time to come back. I interviewed Tuesday with the Villas in Gulf Breeze, which is an assisted living facility. The job offer for the Marketing Director and Assitant Admin position. The interview went really well and I was really hoping for a call back. They called me in this morning and offered me the JOB! I am so excited right now! I basically get to meet people and find out if they are good potential clients for the facility. I am also in charge of several of the departments in the facility and I absolutly loved being a manager before. I know that its going to be a challenge because there is so much to learn, but I am so ready for the challenge. I have been hoping for a job like this!
I had originally wanted a job at NFCU and was really disappointed when I didn't get the job. Than I applied for another awesome job and got told I wasn't qualified. Its amazing how God places things in your life at the perfect moment, I often forget to rely on him and realize he has the best plan in mind.
More after the awesome weekend ahead!

What a month!

So I see that I have neglected my blog for sometime! Its been a crazy past of weeks. Craig is getting better. I am really trying not to say much because I do not want to hurt our lawsuit case.
I finally got an apartment! I love it! I am still getting settled in and fixing things how I want them. I just love having my OWN place, nothing like being able to go to your own place at night. Craig will move in once we are married, so he has been such a help in choosing things and helping me place things in the apartment. Plus I love watching him walk around and say things he is going to fix and make better! I love having a handy man!
I have been job searching, which really is not turning out so well. I just hope that I can get a job soon! I want to do something that requires my five years of hard work and that piece of paper! Plus I need benefits, funny thing once you graduate your parents insurance no longer wants to carry you!
Craig and I got to go the Maryland. My sister Cortney was graduating for high school so I wanted to be there to watch. We had decided that we would drive over to New Orleans and fly out there. We spent the night right next to Jackson's Square. We ate dinner at a really cute restaurant on Bourbon Street, I have always wanted to sit on the balcony of a restaurant and it was beautiful! Plus we got the chance to people watch from above which was fun! Than we headed to Baltimore the next morning. I love visiting my family, I wish they lived closer. We got to visit Inner Harbor some and saw a Baltimore Orioles game! Craig even got a shirt and hat to wear to the game! I loved seeing him wear one of the my favorite team's colors! Than it was back home to reality! I have definitely come to appreciate Craig with two good hands. I never realized how much he helped me before, especially when we travel. He usually helps with luggage and carrying items, mostly all of my little extras I am sure I will need on the trip! I just hope he gets better soon. I hate seeing him in pain and not able to do some of the smallest things.
Wedding plans are still in the works. We signed the contract for the Garden Center and I have to turn in the papers for the church. I was able to get 3 of the bridesmaids dresses when we drove through Mobile. They look beautiful! I am so happy with the color, which Craig picked out! My only preference was BLUE and he picked the particular blue Cornflower. I can't wait to see all of the girls in their dresses. I am still in the process of looking for decorations. I found a wonderful photography that my friend Brandi is using for her wedding. I saw Brandi's engagement photos and they are amazing! I can't wait to get ours!
Well thats enough for now...its almost time to celebrate my BIRTHDAY WEEK! Hopefully the month of June is not as crazy for May was!

Dresses, Graduation, ER, JOBS and less than a YEAR!

So what a start to the month of MAY! I have a lot to share...so its going be a long post!

I was so excited to see my family last weekend! Craig and I got to spend a bunch of time with them.I really hated seeing them go but Craig and I are flying to see them at the end of the month.
The long weekend started off with a trip to Mobile. Which I already posted some details....but Pam and Christy joined my mom and sisters and ME to drive to Mobile for wedding dress shopping. We spent 5 hours in the store but I was so happy with the results we walked out with my dress and 3 bridesmaid dresses. So 3 down, 3 togo. My dress is sitting in my room and its making me even more excited! Craig has joked about looking several times but I know better...he definately wants to be surprised so I have no worries about him actually looking.
Graduation was Saturday morning! I was excited! It still seems so unreal that I am actually done with college. Grades were finally released Tuesday and its official I passed all of my classes, so no more SCHOOL! It was so exciting to look up and see my family in the audience. At first I thought I saw my mom in the opposite direction and I obviously waved....but realized later it wasn't them! So they are got a laugh watching me wave at a complete stranger. I had quite a few people to cheer me on: my parents and siblings came, Craig, several grandparents, Craig's parents and a few cousins....hopefully I didnt forget anyone! I really appreciated everyone coming to watch!

Afterwards we made a stop at Firehouse for lunch than Craig and I went to get my cake! For dinner I invited everyone to Coach and Four, we had about 30 people in the back room. It was so nice to see everyone get to talk and meet each other. It was really the first time Craig and my family's got to meet each other and it went really well. I absolutely loved watching Craig stop and talk with everyone, I loved how he wanted to make sure everyone felt like family.
Now this is where the ER part of the title comes in! I wanted to go to the beach that night to hang out with friends....well Craig wanted to stay in! So we decided to invite everyone over for games and drinks. Craig was making the girls some bushwackers and our blender went CRAZY! I'm not posting too many details because we are looking at legel action against the blender company and well I am not sure how posting the details would affect the outcome. So the party pretty much moved to the ER room. We spent several hours in the ER and he walked away with 30 stiches. There is a chance one of his tendons was cute bad but we wont know for another week! So please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
Now that summer has started I am up to my ears in work. Pelicans Baseball started last weekend, we walked away 3-1 which was really exciting. We have an awesome team this year and I have really love being at the games. I am still working at Beefs so my days are going to be long and hard!
Friday May 9, marked the negative one year to the wedding! All day I kept thinking about what I would be doing one year from now. I got even more excited for the wedding! I can't wait for that day and for the future as Mrs. Victoria Pitts! :)
Yesterday was Mother's Day....we had a celebration for mom's at the park which really made me miss my mom. I did get a chance to call her and wish her a Happy Mother's Day but it just isn't the same as being there with them.
Today starts Carrie's BIRTHDAY WEEK! So Happy Birthday week to her! We already have several things planned so I am excited about the coming week!
Here are a few more pics for the past week.....

So I went to David's Bridal today....and after 5 hours I WALKED OUT WITH MY DRESS!

I'm not giving details because I want it to be huge surprise and I really dont want Craig to find out any of the details!

All I can say is I feel like a PRINCESS in it! I can't wait to wear it that day and walk down the aisle! I am so excited. Its been such a great weekend...and graduation is tomorrow. I am so excited to walk across the stage.

More details about the weekend to come!

Busy little lady!

So I have been pretty busy that past couple of weeks!
School officially ends tomorrow afternoon for me after my last two finals. It hard to believe I won't ever register again for class, I will be actually walking across the stage Saturday morning. It has certainly been quite a trip! I have had such a time getting my invitations ordered, they finally arrived today!!! So I will be passing them out late so say the least.
Pelicans internship is going really well. We just had a big extravaganza the other night and it turned out so well! I can't wait for the rest of the season and see how well things turn out.
My family arrives tomorrow afternoon! I am so excited. I love it when my family comes into town! I really love seeing my brother, I miss them all so much but I feel like I miss so much of his life because I am not around to watch him grow-up. I know my sisters have grown so much as well, I never feel old until I realize my younger sister is 18, driving and graduating high school! Plus I'm excited that Craigs and my family get to meet!!!! I am so excited for them to get the chance to really talk to Craig and see how amazing he is.
Friday morning I get to try on WEDDING DRESSES! Pam, Christy, my mom, and my two sisters are driving with me to Mobile. I have finally gotten the chance to really be thinking about the wedding without feeling like I'm neglecting schoolwork. I am so excited to try on dresses and I cant wait to see how my mom reacts when she sees me. I have already been to Davids Bridal website to check out the dresses and pick some of my favorite.
I am so excited about the next few days! I feel like so much is coming together and plenty of stress is being lefted finally!

Back to Reality... no me gusto!

Wow want a week! Small update my parents found their dog!
I just got back from the cruise with Craig's family! I can not even put into words how much fun it was. I got to spend time really getting to know Craig's family, all of who I completely LOVE! I will just give some of the details, explaining all of it would take days!
We went on a five day cruise, stopping in Progresso and Cozumel. Progresso went spent on Chiken Itza, sounds like Chicken Pizza. It was some old Mayan Ruins. I got some really nice bowls at the ruins. Craig and I stood there bargaining with the lady, he has such good bargaining skills. After our purchase I realized it was the first item we bought together for our future house! It was such a cute moment! :) In Cozumel we shopped! I got a Mexican survival kit which includes a hat, blanket, two shot glasses and a bottle of Tequilla! I also got a blue topax necklace for super cheap!
The ship was amazing, FOOD all of the time! Plus there was a soft serve ice cream machine, I ate ice cream at all hours of the day! Definately thinking about investing in one for my house! :) A 24 hour pizza bar... don't think I will be eating pizza any time soon! I definately got spoiled with the food, dinner was sad tonight!
The first night they played a Name That Sound Game. Eric decided to place Carrie's name in there about 10 times. She was insistate that she was not going on stage! So of course who do they call, CARRIE! It took me about two seconds to realize she was serious, so I jumped up pretending to be Carrie! I almost won the game too! Craig's grandparents also got on a game, the Newlywed..Not So Newlywed Game! It was hilarious some of their answers!
The rest of the time we just spent playing around on the ship, golfing, laying out, just plan goofing off and having a great time! I had such a great time this past couple of days! I love spending time with Craig! I love how we just have such a great time together, laughing and giggling! Getting to share new life experiences make me look forward to the many more we will share the rest of our lives. I really appreciate the opportunity to spend time with my future family. I love them all so much and am so thankful to be marrying into such an amazing family.
So like the title states back to reality! School work has definately gotten behind in the past couple of days. Today officially marks the one month countdown.... so I guess I better get finished!

Have you seen my doggie?

So I have never really been a dog person, even an animal person. However, my parents do have a toy poodle and we have had for a long time now at least 10 years. I never really thought I actually liked him until yesterday. My sister called me last night to tell me that he was missing. My parents do not have a fence so when we let him out especially at night we have to stand there and watch or he wonders away. Its irritating to stand there and wait but we just havent gotten a fence up and most of the time he is good and stays close to the house. Or when he has wondered around the house before we just call him back. Apparently someone forgot to watch and well he wondered completely away. Everyone realized he was missing when they went to bed. So my dad went searching the neighborhood last night and couldn't find him, my mom and sisters walked around the house calling his name but nothing.
Well today, Thursday, they posted flyers and walked around the neighborhood hoping to find him. But no such luck. My mom said all my little brother was doing was just crying. Which makes me even more sad, I hate hearing him cry! :(
I just talked to my sister and randomly some lady saw our signs in the neighborhood and told my parents she had picked him up. However, when she took him home, he ran away from her. So he's basically lost again, in a smaller town right next to my parent's town. So they placed flyers over there and went looking for him this afternoon.
I feel so bad knowing he is walking around all by himself, no food, no water. And although its warm here, its not all that warm in MD especially at night. Let I said before I have never really been a dog person but I am really sad knowing he's out there by himself.
Plus we all worry that he going to get mad a someone picking him up and try to bit him! He's only a 7 pound toy poodle but I would hate for him to bit someone especially a child.

Disclosure!

Disclosure: the story is kinda goofy! But I couldnt resist bragging!
So I know I just posted the other day! But..... I actually just got home from Craig's house. This week has been so crazy, I feel like I have constantly been moving and just needed a few hours break! Craig had the day off so he went grocery shopping and decided he wanted to COOK US DINNER. Actually he grilled dinner! But I felt so special knowing he wanted to do something for me! I absolutely love watching him cook. He really enjoys cooking on the grill and to watch him do something that makes him so happy, makes me happy. We sat on the back porch while it was grilling and it was absolutely PERFECT. Than we ate dinner together and just talked about random things, nothing of importance that I can remember. But it was just the niceness of being with him and eating dinner together and knowing how much he enjoyed getting dinner ready for us!
I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him, eating dinner together every night, growing old together.

Counting down the days!

So it has been a crazy past few days! Yesterday was the exactly two months until graduation! I am so excited! I can't wait for my parents to come to town and see them again and for them to get a chance to get to really talk to Craig. I can't wait to officially be done!!! Its hard to imagine not being a college student anymore!
Last Thursday Craig and I went to the church and booked it for the wedding! We officially have our date MAY 9, 2009! That was a huge weight lifted knowing the church is officially ours that day! Now just getting the reception place will make it even better.
Last weekend was Emily's birthday, Carrie's roommate. We met them at Miller Ale House, it was so much fun! Plus we got to celebrate Emily getting engaged! Guess something is in the air, all these girls getting engaged! Saturday night Caitlin and Matt came over to Craig's. Caitlin and I cooked dinner for the boys, which they seemed to really enjoy. They got us a cookie cake that said Happy Engagement... however I didn't get to take a picture before the boys cut into it. But it was so sweet of them to bring. I love hanging out with the two of them! Sunday was church and work as usual.
This month is the cruise! I am so excited to get away from school and work for a couple of days. Its going to be such a nice break considering I will be busy over spring break and won't have much time to relax. Plus there are several concerts this month, THE MOLLY RINGWALDS are this weekend. However, they are on the boardwalk and its supposed to be 30 degrees so we might not be going out there. Fly By Radio is later this month, which they are so good!
In the next week I have two exams and a paper outline due. I will be so excited when they are done. I can tell I am starting to completely stress! I tend to get easily irritated when I'm stressed and I know I have snapped a few times in the past couple of days!
Well enough of my break time! Time to hit the books again!

Giving it a try

So I have a few friends who have blogs and I have to admit I love reading their stories. So I will see how this goes.

Wow February has certainly been a month to remember!

School is getting more crazy every moment and it seems that no matter how far ahead I think I am I'm really not. Only 60 something more days of this and I'm finally done!

I also started my internship this month. I am so excited to be with Pelicans and know that it will provide so many opportunities. So everyone should come see some games this summer!!!

And the most important best news of the month!!!! Valentines this year was the best! Craig proposed and obviously I said yes. I will spare telling the details on the engagement on this blog because they are on our wedding website: www.theknot.com/ourwedding/VictoriaBush&CraigPitts. I replay exactly how it happened in my mind all of the time just to make sure it really happened!

Unfortunately I had to take the ring back to get it resized so I was without it for like 10 days. Craig got the size I thought was correct. But when I was trying on rings that day I guess I was really nervous and well I guess I thoughtI had the right size :)!
Every time I look at the ring I can't help but smile and begin thinking about my future. I know I have an amazing guy who loves me and I certainly am in love with him. I can't wait to start our life together as husband and wife.

We got our pictures back last night and it was so exciting to look at them. The smiles in the picture our HUGE, considering is was just hours after we got engaged! It was such a special day and knowing that Craig planned everything around me wanting those pictures makes it even more special. He wanted to always be able to look at the pictures and know that we were only engaged for hours when we took them.
I love so many things about this man but its the small things that he does for me that make me realize how lucky I am. It the things he does, that he may not even realize that make me so happy and love him even more.
